MSM-03 GOGG Heavy-armed custom with extra large torpedoes launchers 

Model kit used: MG 1/100 GOGG

Background:

The first amphibious mobile suit for the Zeon's forces - "Gogg", is a high output, powerfull M.S. first equipped with "Mega particle guns", it also comes with "Torpedoes" for long range attracks ; "Iron Nail claws" for close-quarters combat. Due to its high speed underwater cruising and heavy armaments which caused the Earth Federation a real hard time during the One Year War!

My initial approach was to make a "Heavy-armed" Gogg with loads of weapons. Two oversized torpedoes mounted on the back to make the MS more powerfull and unique. Additional "Mega particle guns" added on both palms, so it becomes six "Mega particle guns" altogether including the original two in the center torso. 

Added details:

The MG kits itself doesn't comes with much details, so I added a couples all over the unit such as thruster, hooks, rivets and panel lines.

I have sized down the window on the head to create a more excited and "evil" look for this zeonic "Bad guy". For the mono eye, an L.E.D. is installed on top of the original ball joint to maintain its moveablity as it was before.

Colouring:

I have used similar colorway as its original design, only the black parts on the legs has changed to the same brown as the main body color, the result is a bit different with a hint of realistic, military look. The paints I used are the Mr.Color military series semi-matt brown and yellow for the main colors, while the internal frame is painted with German aircraft dark grey. Lastly, a bit of enamel dry brush and chipping of dark grey and silver is applied on the model as a final touch.

AMX-004 Qubeley - "The Queen's Machine !! "

Model kit used : Bandai 1/100 Master Grade "Qubeley"

It's been almost 2 years,on and off working on this kit...finally have it completed for some photo shots!! It's a very nice MG model kit, not much modifications required for me except to sharpen up the parts (see this link).

Qubeley is originally designed by Nagano Mamoru 永野氏.My inspiration was to brings out the style of Mamoru's designs which is elegant and exquisite, polished body with a bit of fine decorations.

Glossy finshed: The most time spending on this model kit was polishing the surface for spray painting, in order to achieve the glossy finish for the white parts.(see also colouring). It has gone through quite a few clear coat and then polished with different grades of polishing compounds, it has been a nightmare but the result is pretty satisfactory!!~~

Touching up : Quite a few of red and grey warning sign decals is used for this kit,tiny metal sticker on the chest(too small to be seen ><).I also found some chrome silver flower and butterfly pattern stickers (which is suppose to used for nail decorations), which is perfectly fit with this female used Mobile Suit!! I hope you enjoy it~

用上接近2年的時間，斷斷續續地......終於完成了這台MG卡碧尼！這是一套非常不錯的MG模型，需要修改的位置除了銳化幾個部分以外沒有作出太大的改動。
卡碧尼的原設計是來自由永野氏的。我的靈感是希望帶出他的外形設計風格,優雅而精緻,光亮的機身再加上一點細微的點聚。
光澤的表現 ：製作本模型中最花時間是拋光表面和噴漆，從而實現光澤的白色部分。經過多次的透明塗層，然後用了不同粗幼的拋光膏，過程非常耗時，但結果也是非常滿意的！ 〜 〜
細節點聚：用了紅色和灰色的警示標誌水貼，在胸前貼了微形金屬貼紙,也發現了一些鍍鉻銀色花朵和蝴蝶圖案的貼紙（這是用於女生指甲裝飾的)，恰好地 完全適合這名女生使用的機動戰士！希望大家喜歡~

Master Grade MS-09 "Dom" "Black Tri-Stars" version

One of the most famous Mobile Suit during the O.Y.W. era! Heavy weight, high performance with high speed jet engines as well as the signature mono eye inside the big cross on the face, all together makes this Zonic MS so distinctive and iconic!
The inspiration of making this model is came from the original animation styling, robust outlook, rounded edges in all edges especially on face cover, shoulders and chest armor. Colours used the orginal purple and black, weathering job done with weathering pastel, silver and brozne enamel paint chipping to mimic paint scratch and rusting.

First Gundam !

The first and the original mobile suit Gundam - RX78-2! As the main mecha character of the story it is the MS with the most versions released throughout the years, just talking about Master grade, it has at least 7 different versions(if I remebered correctly)and each of them has their own charcteristic, like the "OYW version" which is based on the CG of a PS2 game in a robust form, lots of details,special mould colors; and the "Version 2" which came with a retro anime look but with advacnced mechanicism; and the "Version Ka", legendary design under the name of Katoki!! and for sure we have the lastest version 3 which combine all the goodies and made with cutting edges pla-mo technologies~
This version of Gundam is a little bit "not easily seen!" because it is the Gundam body inside the armor of the "Perfect Gundam". I like this version a lot because of its simplicty form and design which is closest to the orignial animation (at the time when version2 still not released). I just assembled the Gundam and left the armor untouched in the box, maybe one day I should put together the armor and make this Gundam become truly "Perfect~"
This kit was completed a few years ago, recently I took it out and added some weathering (weathering pastel and enamel brush)on it for photo shoting. I have tried some gradation air-brush technique on this kit, also known as the "MAX塗" in Japan. The technique was pretty hard to manage and I have practisd a lot of times, and finally this one came out pretty satisfactory~

MG 2.0 Gelgoog modiflications

[1][2] Narrowed down the shoulder so that overall porportion looks more balance between the upper and lower body.

[Head] The head has been modiflied to make it closer to the anime look.

[3] Trimmed down the front of the "nose" part

[4][5] Added putty on both sides of the head to make it looks wider

YMS-14S "Gelgoog" Commander Type - Char Aznable custom

Another Char Aznable custom moblie suit during the One Year War era. "Gelgoog" was developed to be the next generation of "Zaku II" being the core mobile suit force for the Principality of Zeon army. The "Gelgoog" has a big advancement in every circumstance, with the max power and speed 1.5 times higher than the "Zaku II" !! And it stand 19.2 meters (1.7 meters taller than zaku)!! It was also the first Zeon's moblie suit which armed with powerfull beam weapons which target to rival the Earth Federation's "white nightmare"--"RX78-2 Gundam"!!

This "Char's Gelgoog" model kit is also a 2.0 version MG same as this guy i made. It was released right after MG Zaku 2.0, same great articulation, full inner frame which armor can completely removed. As usual, I have made a slighly modification on this kit to make it better meet my expectation^^

MG Gundam MkII 2.0 - half way through

MG 2.0 Gundam MkII is always at high priority in my "Gunpla-to-do" list, so attractive are the refreshed outlook design and the highly movable mechanical structure. (pops in mind with the image of a MKII's flying kick on the packaging!) Can't wait to finished the model for some awesome action photo shots!
While in the half way of the making process, I have recorded how it goes so far with thoese modification works I've made!

The original MS designs in the Z-gundam series was quite advance at that time (1987) even nowaday you won't feel kinda "old-school" about them. When you place a MS of Gundam 00 series right beside it and you'd probably feel it~

I find the MKII appearing in the vedio game "Gundam VS" series is pretty cool, as well as the mechanical design of MKII in the new comic series "Z Gundam Define". When I'm making this model, I referenced a bit of both and make it looks more robust and sleek!
Most of the edges in this model have been sharperned up such as the chest, arms, hips, and along the legs.~ The legs are too thin to me so I have volumed them up by a bit of plastic plates. Also the face has been touched up to make it looks cooler ^^

[Modification]

Not much re-make necessary for this kit, the modification mainly focus on the head and hip area.

1.Similar as the Zaku, the window area is narrowed down so that it looks so much cooler~

2.The armor near front ventaliton have some zigzag details (looks werid some how) so that I have trimed them up.

3.The hip was not wide enough, so that I have enlarged it, the overall shape (upper body and lower body) is much more balance now.

 

[Painting]

Unlike my Char Zaku color scheme, Zgok is more pinkish light red compare with Zaku's pale orange light red, and Fire red instead of dark red. (to differentiate between them)

Personally I really like decal lines that appear on Okawara illustration, so I spent some time mask paint the white decal lines on the front arm, body, knees and lower legs. The result is very satisfactory!~~

Light red (Body) : 65% Gaia EX01 gloss white + 25% Gaia gloss red  + 10% Gaia gloss yellow. 

Red (Arms, hip, legs, Backpack): 90% Gaia gloss red + 10% Gaia EX01 gloss white.

Black: 90% Gaia gloss black + 10% Gaia EX01 gloss white.
Grey (Internal frame): 60% Gaia gloss black + 40% Gaia EX01 gloss white.

Clear coat: 90% Gaia EX03 gloss clear + 10% GSI EX04 flat clear.

Panel lines: Tamiya enamel 80% black X1 + 20% white X2
[Decal]
Decal lines: Tamiya water base and white.
Bandai Gundam decal (Zaku MS used) + decal from the kit + left over from others kits.

 



もう一度好敵手! シャア専用ズゴック

Once again the eternal rivial, Char Aznable and his custom moblie suit, following the "Zaku", here comes the MSM-07S "Zgok"!!It is an antique MG kit bought for nearly a decade, bit by bit remodeled it and spray painted it in 2 years ago together with the 2.0 char zaku. (Fullfilling my dream of building a full line of Char's MS, for sure there will be Gegloog(coming soon) and Zeon (nicely in a box), 100 shiki(pending)........anymore? Sazabi? (MG ver.Ka don't roll out too early!)......>o<

再一度好敵手!! 馬沙與他的專用機體, 緊接着"紅渣古", 就是"紅魔蟹" MSM07S!

這MG模型買了很多年, 從素組到改造一點一點終於把它完成噴油 , 剛好跟紅渣的顏色相似,干跪就把它們一口氣KO!! 離我製作全線馬沙機體的夢又近了一步!!

當然還有格鲁古古, 自護號(頭已素組), 百式 (計劃中), 還有........沙煞比!MG ver.Ka 不要那麼快登埸好嗎!
